How We Heal, Together

I’m Michele Chauvin. With over 40 years in health and healing, I’ve dedicated my life to helping people feel better—naturally. I’ve trained across the country, including direct study with John F. Barnes in Myofascial Release (MFR), and I hold certifications in Lymphatic Drainage, Craniosacral Therapy, and more.

At Wellspring, no two treatments are the same. We focus on what your body needs—using hands-on therapy, gentle movement, and self-care education to help you feel better, move easier, and stay well.

A Truly Gifted Healer

The time I spend with Michele Chauvin, a truly gifted healer, was transformative. First of all, she has that "it" thing, a combination of gravitas and angelic lightness. You know you've put yourself in good hands before you're even on her table and that's where the magic happens. Of course I never want the time to end although it’s heavenly when she's finished. I encourage anyone in need of healing and tired of being in pain to reach out to her for care. Her talent, experience and loving devotion to her profession are first rate and I honor it. After suffering from a traumatic car crash and other unfortunate things, one can imagine how grateful and lucky I feel that I now have Michele as my therapist. It took a long time to find someone of her caliber. body and soul healing. So necessary in today’s world. I hope sharing this helps anyone in need.

“I had 2 lumpectomies due to breast cancer in June and July 2022. Michele performed MFR on me pre surgery and 24 hours post surgery. Her work definitely aided in a quicker recovery. The sensation I experienced and continue to experience when she works on me is a release of tightness and pain and the prolonged stretching helped me with increased range of motion to 100%. The experience is uplifting to me because of the immediate release I feel.”

“Michele is a phenomenal John F Barnes myofascial therapist (MFR). She is very intuitive. She had helped me with my foot pain (plantar fasciitis), hip pain, back pain, headaches, you name it and she can help! 😆 She is an occupational therapist, but is better then any physical therapist, massage therapist or chiropractor that I have been to. I highly recommend her!”

After reviewing your history and goals I will perform a standing postural assessment, range of motion assessment, and use appropriate tools to determine function; You will then be assessed in supine (laying on your back). Treatment will begin based on those findings. Please bring a 2-piece bathing suit or loose fitting stretchy shorts and tank top, or you may remain in your bra and underwear (underwear for men).

The jfb mfr approach uses slow gentle pressure held for 3-5 minutes to allow the fascia’s mucopolysaccaride gel to melt and release restrictions without causing inflammation. It emphasizes a whole body, mind-body connection and seldom uses aggressive manipulation grounded in 50+ years of research into fascia’s role as the body's primary communication system, with tensil strengths up to 2000 pounds per square inch, it aligns with emerging fascial research and emphasizes rehydration and anti-inflammatory responses of interleukin 8. it incorporates emotional and energetic components like myofascial unwinding and rebounding to release physical restrictions; emphasizes the whole person: mind body and spirit focusing on underlying causes of pain not just symptoms; utilizes gentle sustained pressure of 3-5 minutes at the fascial barrier to allow the fascia to “melt” promoting a change at the cellular level of the elastin/collagen components of connective tissue; also by working to balance the pelvis - the fulcrum of movement - we balance other structures.

Cash and check are preferred, but also accept Master Card, Visa, AMEX, healthcare spending account (HSA), and flexible spending account (SFA). (Use of card may incur a service charge).

Insurance companies consider us to be out of network. You will need to determine if you qualify and may need a physician's referral. We can provide a superbill that you will submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

A manual therapy that uses gentle sustained pressure to release restrictions in the fascia, a three dimensional tissue web surrounding muscles, bones, nerves, and organs. It aims to eliminate pain, restore motion, and promote holistic healing by addressing the root causes of symptoms rather than just treating surface issues.

Fascia is a continuous , three dimensional web of connective tissue that surrounds and connects every structure in the body from muscles and organs to individual cells. When restricted due to trauma, surgery, or stress it can exert pressure up to 2000 pounds per square inch causing pain and dysfunction.

Sessions typically last 60 minutes, sometimes 90 minutes the number of sessions vary by individual. Some may need a few sessions while some with chronic conditions may require weekly sessions for months. Remember that if you’ve been in pain for a week that equals 168 hours in pain, if you’ve been in pain for 4 weeks you’ve been in pain for 720 hours, etc.
